Once in several decades does such a phenomenon sweep the market. The UPI. From the daily milkman to the luxury international brands shop at the mall, everyone is into it. We all know. It's important to think of why UPI is so widely being accepted, when people like the milkman, the flower shop were the kind who were reluctant to accept card payments or even open bank accounts. How did this happen? What stole their acceptance?

SIMPLIFICATION

One QR code is all it took. Instead of having a long account number, cheque book, pass book and all that


NO FRILLS APPROACH

Customers don't have to carry anything, literally. Everyone has their mobile with them anyways. Not forcing them to carry or remember anything 'extra' for the sake of doing the transaction.


HERD BEHAVIOR

As a business, when my customers start asking me for a QR Code when it comes to payments, sooner or later it's a soft push towards adoption.
